TimeGT is now launched and available for public use! Please download and have fun!

More info about features and knowledge base is still in progress so to the best way is to learn by yourself and ask your friends and community.

For a brief intro: TimeGT is built to make your notes and tasks handling much easier and more accessible.

TimeGT is far from being fully final and polished. And it will never be. But we are working very hard together with the users making sure our simple promises are kept!

TimeGT thrives to make a strong paradigm shift when it comes to managing and accessing your data. More specifically:

Accessibility

All user changes to the data are automatically sent to the server as journal entries for backup and remote access purposes.

If you have multiple clients open then changes will appear at other clients immediately. It is up to you if you want to load those incoming changes right away or later.

You can always make your local backups that are stored as XML files so you can process them any way you want.

Currently we support Windows, Linux and Mac clients. Later this can be moved also to web and mobile. But we will never weaken the security to make the data accessible at the server.

Import all your Remember The Milk tasks into TimeGT to see how it works (from File-Import-RTM).

Security

Whenever your information leaves your computer it will be encrypted with strong RSA 512. Only you have access to the private-public keypair.

Your password is never sent to the server, only SHA 512 hash made from username, password and random salt combination will be used for validating at the server.

Currently for user convenience public-private keypair is stored as JKS keystore in server protected with your password. This can be later changed to improve security but then user needs to start carrying his own key file instead of password.

Next Goals

Support sharing tasks between users (while keeping information securely encrypted).

Support connectors for accessing 3rd party information (GMail, Google calendar, JIRA, Trac, Bugzilla etc)

Support more clients for accessing and/or entering new tasks (Web, Symbian, Android, iPhone)

Have fun and feel free to post your feedback and comments right here to this post!
